Making plans in advance means you can save some money on better deals and promotions. Marriott knows many travelers do this, and that’s why at the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026 it has dropped several special offers and promotions.

In November, as part of its “Cyber Sale” promotion, the luxury hotel giant offered loyalty members a 25% discount on stays at thousands of hotels worldwide when booking through the Marriott Bonvoy app. The deal required booking by early December for stays lasting through late February 2026.

Earlier in February, Marriott Bonvoy launched its first major promotion of 2026 rewarding travelers who explore different hotel brands instead of clinging to just one. By registering by April 26 and booking paid stays between February 25 and May 10, 2026, members can fast-track their elite status and earn extra points for future vacations.

Recent Marriott Bonvoy promo highlights:

  • 2,500 Bonus Points: Earned for every single “stay” (even a one-night trip).
  • 1 Extra Elite Night Credit: Earned for each unique brand you stay at (e.g., one for Moxy, one for Westin).
  • No Earning Limit: There is no cap on how many points or brand credits you can collect.

Marriott Bonvoy rolls out 1-point festival experiences at the popular music events

Marriott Bonvoy launched a new series of “1-Point Drops” via Marriott Bonvoy Moments for a limited time. This special deal enables loyalty members to obtain VIP festival packages for just one point, according to the official press release.

The goal behind Marriott’s partnership with AEG Presents is to provide members with insider access to major music festivals. Instead of spending thousands of points or dollars, a limited number of lucky members can earn these experiences at the cost of a cup of coffee’s worth of points.

The promotional packages include more than just tickets.

Marriott Bonvoy music festivals promotion includes:

  • Coachella (California): 2 Guest Passes, access to the festival and campgrounds, VIP access to the Main Stage and Rose Garden areas, and limited back-of-house access.
  • Stagecoach (California): 2 Guest Passes, Corral Standing Pit access (front of the main stage), Diamond Lounge entry, and access to exclusive air-conditioned saloons.
  • All Points East (London): Includes VIP pits, guest areas, and free food/drink vouchers.
  • Rock en Seine (Paris): Includes backstage VIP access and entry to official after-parties.

Why members shouldn’t miss Marriott’s latest 1-Point Drop offer

“We want to provide music fans more access by letting your everyday routine – a rideshare or your morning cup of coffee – unlock these opportunities,” stated Peggy Roe, Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer, Marriott International. “These 1-Point Drops turn loyalty into access to some of the biggest musical moments of the year.”

One Marriott point is worth around $0.007 per point, according to UpgradedPoints while some of these VIP tickets like for Coachella go up to $1,299, according to TimeOut.

At roughly 0.7 cents per point, redeeming one point for a $1,299 package represents a theoretical return of more than 185,000%.

The numbers explain the real value of the deal as they show how a less than a cent can become a more than a thousand-dollar luxury experience.

Considering the real value of the deal, it is understandable that packages are limited to a small number.

1-Point Drop Package rules and details members should know

Members should keep in mind that under the deal there’s the one-drop rule, meaning you can redeem one 1-Point Drop package (either via the 1-point fix or the auction) per calendar year. This suggests that members should pick their favorite festival from the offering.

The idea behind the series of 1-Point Drop Packages promotion Marriott is offering throughout the year is to provide members with select high-value experiences, such as VIP entrances at music festivals, and more, at a low cost.

Previous 1-Point Drop Packages deals included:

  • Tickets to ‘F1 The Movie’ premiere in New York City.
  • Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ Tour tickets.
  • Marriott’s Evening With Stanley Tucci in London.

Members who haven’t participated in these promotions should know that 1-Point Drop packages are not based on a lottery model, instead there’s a very limited number of packages released at a specific time and earned through the “first-come, first-served” policy, according to Marriott’s 1-Point Drop FAQs.

To participate in these offers and race to win the package, you must be an active Marriott Bonvoy member and have at least 1 point in your account at the time of the drop.
